Master’s Degree or equivalent in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology or a related field required. Minimum three years of experience in Cytogenetics and meets the following experiential requirements listed below.

  1. Three years of cytogenetics or related scientist/research experience;

  2. Three years of [cytogenetics or related scientist/research experience] performing cytogenetic analysis on cancer specimens for diagnosis and prognosis;

  3. Three years [cytogenetics or related scientist/research experience] working with and developing new FISH assays;

  4. Three years of [cytogenetics or related scientist/research experience] designing and conducting cytogenetic research projects;

  5. Three years of [cytogenetics or related scientist/research experience] evaluating test results for validity;

  6. Three years of [cytogenetics or related scientist/research experience] preparing scientific manuscripts for publication; and

  7. Three years [cytogenetics or related scientist/research experience] training junior scientists.

Current State of California Clinical Cytogeneticist Scientist required.
