Applicants for the position of PGY-01-08 Resident Physician in (hereinafter “Resident”) at Loma Linda University Inland Empire Consortium Healthcare Education (hereinafter “LLUIECHE”) are required to be a graduate of one of the following: U.S. medical school accredited by the LCME; U.S. osteopathic school accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA); ECFMG certified graduate of other medical schools who hold a Postgraduate Training Authorization Letter (PTAL) from the Medical Board of California that does not include any requirement for remediation, OR is in possession of a valid, unrestricted California Medical License. Applicants for PGY-02-08 must have satisfactorily completed one year of graduate medical education training in a program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). U.S. Graduates who have completed two years of post-graduate training in an ACGME accredited training program are required to be in possession of a valid, unrestricted California Medical License. International Medical Graduates who have completed three years of post-graduate training in an ACGME accredited training program are required to be in possession of a valid, unrestricted California Medical License.  Basic Life Support certification is required. Ability to perform a complete history and physical examination, EKG, venapuncture and other procedures not requiring specific consent of the patient; place a cannula for IV infusion in a peripheral vein of the upper extremity of patients not receiving hemodialysis; write progress notes including the discharge summary; write orders for (1) therapeutic agents on the LLUIECHE Formulary for patients, (2) diagnostic procedures or consultations requested by members of the Medical Staff or (3) other routine orders such as for diet, activity, or condition; provide health education and obtain consents for procedures in which Resident will participate. **Residents will be put in the appropriate category based on a review of experience.**
