Home Health Care LVN -

The Licensed Vocational Nurse, Home Health Care, provides age-specific (infant, toddler, preschooler, school age, adolescent, young adult, middle adult, later adult) patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) in the home environment. Utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize customer service in a manner that supports excellence in customer service, safe patient care, and professionalism. Contributes to a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population. Performs other duties as needed.

Graduate of a school of vocational nursing required. Minimum one year of experience as an LVN required.

Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in following policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate with others; accept direction. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; assemble, troubleshoot, and calibrate patient care equipment; perform technical age-specific patient care activities as required; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; perform basic math functions; manage multiple assignments effectively; compose written material; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; document legibly in medical record; work independently with minimal supervision.

California Vocational Nurse (LVN) license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Valid driver's license with automobile insurance required at time of hire.
