The Director-Student Affairs provides leadership for the school specific Student Affairs department. Supervises staff, plans and coordinates events, and manages departmental budget as well as budgets for student organizations. Resolves student issues and concerns, routing them to the Associate Dean as appropriate. Performs other duties as needed.

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Minimum four years of student affairs or related experience required. Eight years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Keyboard 50wpm; computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database); ability to plan and organize work for self and others and manage projects; inputting data; copying; answering telephones. Able to work with, maintain, and troubleshoot typical office machines. Able to build, develop databases, filing systems, and tracking mechanisms. Excellent verbal and written skills in English. Demonstrates positive interpersonal skills. Cooperates harmoniously with others and shares information in a timely and appropriate manner. Demonstrates the ability to respond positively and quickly to changing circumstances. Acts decisively and takes effective action. Able to effectively communicate changes and instructions in a professional, effective and positive manner. Ability to create and monitor departmental budget and the accounts of multiple school specific student organizations. Organizational skills, self‐directed, able to multi‐task, resolve issues independently; manage projects from start to finish. Manage and supervise staff, assign work, ensure quality and completion of work being assigned. Evaluate employee performance; handle employee coaching and performance improvement plans. Interface with the public, students, faculty and staff in complex situations. Ability to see and distinguish color, hear, and verbally communicate.
