Clinical background required, e.g. Registered Nurse preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in public health, nursing, pharmacy, or another health-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters Degree in a health-related field preferred. Minimum five years experience in a healthcare environment, in quality management or comparable field including two years experience in project management desired. Minimum of two years of clinical experience desirable.


California RN licensure preferred, CPHQ certification preferred. Certification in process improvement (PI) methodologies preferred. Certification or pending certification in CPHQ, IHI Improvement Advisor, Six Sigma, Lean preferred.


Understanding of medical group operations, state and federal/CMS regulations, health plan contractual requirements, and components of an ambulatory quality program, including value-based reporting, is preferred. Consistent application of process improvement (PI) principles to performance data. Experience with improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma), data collection, analysis and reporting. Requires ability to work effectively with physicians, nursing, ancillary and administrative team, and navigate and develop effective working relationships within the organization. Demonstrated management experience with ability to lead and coach teams. Ability to work independently as well as with a team. Ability to operate basic office equipment, work and communicate via electronic communications, and possess expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong ability with EPIC or similar E.H.R. required. Must have excellent command of the English language, verbally and in writing. Ability to build positive relationships with members of the leadership team, and to engage and foster teamwork among staff. Must be a self-starter with a critical thinking, data-driven, results-oriented mentality. Ability to understand and explain regulatory and contractual standards, discuss value based programs, and deliver professional presentations. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet department objectives and deadlines. Excellent organizational skills. Must demonstrate strong management skills and oversight of day-to-day department operations, including staff evaluation and mentoring of employees. Aptitude to serve as a role-model for professionalism and organizational values.
