Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare, Business or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum seven years of experience in leading patient access functions required. Minimum seven years of management experience required. Minimum three years of experience with the following systems: EPIC Resolute application implementation and optimization, productivity systems and benchmarking systems preferred.

Knowledge of admissions, insurances in California, medical terminology, and pre-registration functions preferred. Able to read, write and speak with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position, e.g., Word, Excel, Power Point, Access; operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills. Excellent verbal and writing skills. Able to deal effectively with people and elicit support from other department areas, vendors and customers. Fluent in English and Able to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents. Able to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Able to write speeches and prepare reports for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Able to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors. Able to organize, plan, and lead and direct staff. Able to analyze data; follow complex instructions; work independently without direct supervision; proofread documents for content and context accuracy; recognize and appropriately report safety problems and other problematic situations. Able to define problems, collect and interpret data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Requires high level of mental concentration on multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions. Able to combine strategic and detailed perspectives. Leadership knowledge and skills: Motivated self-starter with strong work and business ethics. Leader with the ability to make solid management decisions. Team player who understands the concept of servant leadership and is committed to team building, partnerships, and collaborations. Able to hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception.
